Located in “farm country” five miles west of Neillsville, Wisconsin on U.S. Hwy 10, the Silver Dome Ballroom was established in 1933 and is listed in the National (and State of Wisconsin) Register(s) of Historic Places for its one-of-a-kind architecture and its rich entertainment history.  Click on the “ABOUT” tab listed in the header near the top of this page for further historical information (and a couple photos) of the Silver Dome.  Please also check out our Facebook page for further information (see link posted in footer below).

April 27: Lil Ed and the Blues Imperials with The Burnside Kimbrough Experience

Join us to soak up the great sounds and spring weather for the 2024 BLUES PARTY featuring newly inducted National Blues Hall of Famers, LIL ED & THE BLUES IMPERIALS, along with a new Blues supergroup, the BURNSIDE KIMBROUGH EXPERIENCE (including Duwayne, Garry and Kent Burnside, and Kinney and Robert Kimbrough, Sr.), and AARON LEE KAPLAN from the “Cooler Stage.”
Doors at 5 pm, music at 7, $25 admission.

  • Free camping in surrounding lot.
  • Great food available from the neighboring Speakeasy Saloon and Grill
  • Offering 50/50 raffles and accepting donations to benefit the Highground Veterans Memorial Park

Pleased to announce the details of our season-ending, season-long 90th anniversary celebration on SAT, NOV 4th – A DEEP BLUES TRIBUTE TO CHRIS JOHNSON. Many of you knew Chris as the founder of the Deep Blues Festival or, with his wife Kristen, as the proprietor of Bayport BBQ, where he also presented the artists and music he loved. To honor the man, we assembled a pretty amazing bill from among the artists he loved best, including DUWAYNE BURNSIDE (son of legendary Bluesman, RL Burnside), the last artist that Chris presented earlier this year at The Den, his venue in Clarksdale, MS. Duwayne will be joined by KENT BURNSIDE (grandson of RL), as well as ALEX “CRANKSHAFT” LARSON, AARON KAPLAN and, last but certainly not least, one of Chris’ all-time favorites (and ours too), LEFT LANE CRUISER. Chris was instrumental in LLC’s career and, to show their appreciation, they wrote a song for and about him entitled, what else, “MR. JOHNSON.”

Oct 27: Bands in the Boneyard with Motherwind, Public Meltdown, A Long Way Back & The Keystones

You are invited to an R-N-R Halloween party on FRI, OCT 27, it’s BANDS IN THE BONEYARD featuring one of our very favorite area (for now) Rock bands on the rise, MOTHERWIND, along with their pals, PUBLIC MELTDOWN, A LONG WAY BACK, and THE KEYSTONES.

Prizes for best costumes. Free camping in surrounding lot.

Sep 23: APW Heavyweight Title Match Ballroom Blitz

This Saturday marks the return of former APW heavyweight champion Matthias as he evokes his rematch clause against the current champion Devlin Kain.

The last time these twofaced off, Matthias was not at 100% and after losing the title, he decided to take some time off. With his return and being accompanied by Oliver Williams, he sets his sights on Devlin Kain and the APW heavyweight title.

The BALLROOM BLITZ will also include a slate of matches from ALL-OUT PRO WRESTLING, featuring female wrestlers in a “Sibling Rivalry”, some live music from HASTINGS 3000, and a pre-release screening of THE CLAW , a documentary about Baron Von Raschke, who will be making a personal appearance to sign autographs and take photos with fans ($10 each). The documentary director, Philip Harder, will also be there.
